Hard luck to the Calry/St. Joseph’s senior hurling team and staff on losing out in their
Junior Hurling semi-final clash against Ballysaggart from Waterford at O Connor Park,
Tullamore on Sun. last. The Ballysaggart team featured a number of players from the
Waterford minor All-Ireland hurling champions of 2013. Calry have been flying the flag
for Sligo hurling at national level in recent years and great credit is due to all involved.
The Connacht GAA Tain League 2014 fixtures for next Sat. at 2pm sees Coolera-Strandhill
playing Longford Slashers and Western Gaels at home to Tourlestrane in an all-Sligo fixture.
The Tain league matches for last weekend were severely disrupted by the adverse weather conditions
