It was a busy week for the club with four teams in action. The under 14 team obtained a second win in a row when they defeated Calry/ St. Joseph`s on Monday last in St. Farnan`s Park by 5-22 to 2-0. Their next game is away to Tourlestrane on Friday, April 25th at 6.30 p.m. On Tuesday the minor team, also playing at home successfully overcame the challenge of Enniscrone/Kilglass by 6-12 to 2-4.They play away to Curry on Thursday at 6.30 p.m.The under 16 team had a comfortable away win over Curry on Friday by 3-12 to 1-3.This win should ensure a place in the latter stages of the league competition. The under 12 team play their first game of the season at home on Tuesday against Owenmore Gaels at 7 p.m.
The intermediate team however, had no luck against Calry/ St. Joseph`s at home on Saturday as they were defeated by 3-7 to 1-9. Their next game is at home on Saturday at 5p.m. when they face Shamrock Gaels. The junior team play Enniscrone/Kilglass on Friday at 6.30 in St. Farnan`s Park.
The Rodeo Night will take place on Sunday, May 4th. Further details later. The annual Community Games Table Quiz will be held in Templeboy Old School on Good Friday at 9p.m. Congratulations to the winners of County medals at the Art Finals -Gold: April Finnegan; Silver: Cian Gillen, Eoin Gordon, James O`Connell and Conor Lang. Congrats also to under 16 player Stephen Mulligan on winning the All Ireland final of Siansa Gael Linn in the National Concert Hall. Stephen was part of the group "Iontas".
