The annual puc fada competition took place on Culleenamore beach, Strandhill on Sun. last
in good weather conditions. The senior section was contested by Gerard O Kelly-Lynch
and Jeff Corcoran from the Naomh Eoin club and Eolan McCarthy from the Calry club. This was a very
closely contested competition with Gerard O Kelly-Lynch finally edging out Eolan McCarthy on the
last strike of the sliotar. The U16 section was contested by Adam Kerrigan and Sean Chambers
from Coolera-Strandhill club and Tony O Kelly-Lynch and Donal Fidgeon from the Naomh Eoin club.
Once again this proved to be closely contested right up to the end and eventually Tony O Kelly-Lynch
took the honours from Adam Kerrigan to make it a family double for the event. Well done to all who took part
in this competition and to the mentors and supporters who travelled for the event.
