Collooney Junior B inter Club
On Saturday the Collooney junior B inter club team travelled to Dublin to play Broadford of Limerick in the all Ireland semi final. The game was played at the Na Fianna
The Collooney team were strengthened this year by the amalgamation of the St Mary's club.
Michael McMorrow was up first for Collooney but suffered a heavy defeat to Shane Murphy from broadford. Next up in the doubles for Collooney were the pairing of Stanley Harte junior and Michael McGee. The Collooney lads won their first game 21-2 and were defeated in the second game 19-21. This left Peter Chambers with it all to do in the final singles. Peter lost his first game 21-8 to Ben Watson and so the the contest was over. Collooney were beaten by 56-86 overall.
