The junior team were defeated by Drumcliffe/Rosses Point on Sunday  in the Division 4 League final in Markiecivz Park.The team were very competitive in the first half and at half time only one point separated the sides.The score was Drumcliffe 0-6, St. Farnan`s 0-5.The sides drew level in the early stages of the second half at 0-8 each. A goal by Fergal Kilgannon after 17 minutes gave St. Farnan`s the lead. Drumcliffe however added 1-5 to their tally without reply. St. Farnan`s had no answer and simple mistakes proved costly. The final score was Drumcliffe/ Rosses Point 1-13, St. Farnan`s 1-9.The team was P. Harte, C. Feeney, D. Taylor, J. Flynn, G. Feeney, P. Culkin, F. Kilgannon(1-0), D. Hynes(0-1), M. Mulligan(0-1), N.  Easkey/ St. Farnan`s under 16 hurlers play the Leitrim champions, Carrick on Shannon in the first round of the Connaught championship on Thursday at 7 30p.m. in Ballyhaunis.
Commiserations to the club hurlers with Western Gaels who were defeated in the senior county final by Calry/ St. Josephs.
It`s that time of year again.The Sligo final of Scór na nÓg will be held in Dromore West on Saturday, January 3rd 2015. Anyone wishing to take part should give their names to Frances Hanley (087)9860314. Competitors must be under 17 years.
