Our underage hurling season came to an end with the staging of the U12 Urban Committee final in Kent Park last weekend. In a very exciting game against Drumcliffe-Rosses Point, we  trailed by 3 scores to 2 at half-time, with our scores coming from Anthony Fidgeon and Fintan Campbell. Further scores from Anthony Fidgeon had the sides level midway in the second half. A brace of Liam O'Kelly-Lynch scores, the second of these being a bullet on the turn from a tight angle, gave us a two score advantage. However just when it looked like we would get our first U12 victory against our opponents this year, Drumcliffe responded with two late scores to ensure that the game finished level. Well done to both teams for serving up a wonderful spectacle of hurling.  Midfielder Ethan Scully and defender Michael Morgan were both magnificent. We also had some sterling performances from Paul Gallagher, Keelan Davey, Stephen Mahon and Oisin Davey. Goalkeeper Sean Clifford also contributed significantly to our efforts on the day, his long puck outs being a feature of the game.

Our annual flag day collection takes place on Saturday. All support for this important fundraising activity would be gratefully appreciated. Please contact Pat or Bill if you can help out for an hour or two.
