St. John's may not have won the coveted Owen B Hunt Cup in 2014 but the Club finished the year off in fine style with 2 prestigious awards with Shane Stenson gaining the midfield position on the Sligo G.A.A Club All-Star team of the year. And also to Paddy Galvin Hall of Fame Award. Paddy's contribution to club and County G.A.A is well documented and he is an inspiration to us all in the St. John's G.A.A. Club for his tireless efforts and commitment to the G.A.A for nigh on 70 years.
The A.G.M. of the St. John's G.A.A Club will take place in the Cuilbeg Club meeting rooms on Saturday December 6th December at 5 p.m. The assiduous and hardworking Chairman Colm Nevin has confirmed his intentions of stepping down. Also there could be a vacancy for the Treasurer's position with the diligent Gerry Quinn has also signaled his intentions of stepping down.
The next Club lotto takes place in Harrys Bar, on Saturday 29th Nov 2014 @ 10.30pm for €8,150. Tickets are €2 or book of 3 for €5. and can be got in local outlets.
