Pride of place this week must go to our three county minor players who played such a prominent role with Sligo minors in their defeat of Mayo and the winning of the Connaught league. Eamonn Kilgannon was the goalie, Patrick O`Connor came on in the full forward line and Finian Cawley had an outstanding game wearing number 6 and scoring 4 points from play.Congratulations to the team on a well deserved victory.
The intermediate team were no match for neighbours St. Pat`s on Saturday last when they were defeated by 2-10 to 0-5 in division 2 of the leagueOur intermediate lost out to St Pats Saturday evening. The team on duty was F. Hargadon, J. Quinn, D. Taylor, M. Culkin, P. Culkin, G. Ryan, D. Hynes, J. Hynes, M. Lang,F. Kilgannon, K. Lang, G. Feeney, C. O'Connor, K. Kilgannon, G. Calpin.  Subs used P. Calpin, P. Flynn, T. Kilgannon, J. Flynn.   
On Sunday next they are at home to Ballymote at 2 pm.Our juniors played round 1 of the division 4 league against St Michaels last Sunday. On a very wet greasy pitch St Michaels opened an early lead but we soon got on the score sheet with points from Niall and Cormac. Just before the half time whistle Karl got a goal to bring us back into the game and left the half time score at 0-6 to 1-2.  We then took the lead as we dominated the early stages of the 2nd half with Ciaran scoring 1-2. Michaels kept the pressure on and kept the points ticking over they then hit the net twice and raced back into the lead. We kept in touch with a free from Ciaran and a long range point from Gary.  In the end St Micheals ran out deserving winners. Congratulations to Caolan Gillen who made his junior debut. The final score was St. Michael`s 2-13, St. Farnan`s 2-6. The under 16 team remain unbeaten in the B league when they defeated Curry in a very exciting game on Monday  night. The final score was Curry 3-9, St. Farnan`s 4-7.
The under 12 team played St. Pat`s in Templeboy in the first round of the league and despite playing very well lost by 11 scores to 7.The minor team are at home against Tourlestrane  on Thursday at 7 pm.Please support.
The under 16 hurling team had two great wins in the league this week defeating both Tourlestrane and Tubbercurry. The team has qualified for the semi final of the Táin league. They will play Four Roads of Roscommon on Saturday at 11 am. in Ballyhaunis. The under 14 hurlers play away to Tourlestrane on Friday next at 7pm.
Hard luck to the club players who played with St. Mary`s College, Ballysadare in their final against St. Tiernan`s on Wednesday.The team lost after extra time.
Congratulations to Dromore Villa under 17 soccer team which won the Cup Final on Saturday.
The club extends its sympathy to Gerry Golden and family,Lugdoon on the death of his sister Mary Comiskey (New York).Ar Dheis Dé go raibh sí.
