Following on from their rd.3 win over Curry, Easkey/St.Farnans play Shamrock Gaels in the Quarterfinal on Sunday morning at 11am in Easkey.

In the Post Primary Schools Juvenile competition, Colaiste Iascaigh face St.Josephs Foxford on Friday 9th October at 12.30pm in Easkey. 

In the Senior competition, Iascaigh will meet Jesus & Mary Enniscrone date tbc

Following on from their County win, Easkey/St.Farnans begin their Connacht campaign on 17 October vs Leitrim at Connacht Centre Excellence.
Indoor Hurling
It is hoped to recommence the popular Indoor hurling for the winter months, for the younger age-groups. More details at a later date.

Sligo GAA Club Forum - "Have your say" Day

Clubs are invited to attend a Club forum on the 5th of October at 8pm in the Radisson Blu Hotel. This conference will be chaired by Cathaoirleach Comhairle Laighean, John Horan. John will have four facilitators from outside the County to enable discussion under three broad headings;

A report of the forum will be made available to the Executive at a later date. This is an opportunity for club members to make observations about these and other important topics with a view to improving the way the GAA manages its affairs in the County.

Connacht GAA Bursary Awards 2015/16

Connacht GAA, in support of the National Student Bursary Scheme, will award bursaries of €750 to students attending Higher Education colleges.

The scheme, which is now in its ninth year, will be open to members of the Association who are attending a full-time Higher Education course and who are active participants in their Higher Education club.  Students who hold other GAA-related or a college scholarship/bursary will not be eligible to apply.

Connacht GAA welcomes applications from those students in our province, (Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon & Sligo), regardless whether their attendance is at a college inside or outside of Connacht”. A number of awards in each province will be reserved for those excelling in the areas of coaching and administration.

Each bursary granted will be for €750 and payment will be made annually in two instalments of €375. Further information and application forms for this year’s scheme are currently available to download from www.connachtgaa.ie
