Our U8 and U10 Boys took on Shamrock Gaels in Coola on Wednesday  evening last turning in superb displays in each game. Our U12 Girls were beaten at home by an excellent Tourlestrane side in the second round of championship fixtures.

On  Friday  evening last  our junior team completed their  Division iV League campaign with a great 0-14 to 1-09 win away to Calry/St Joseph's. A superb display from Martin Feeney was a feature of the game. In the clubs first season back in the junior ranks after a number of years the securing of a top four position is a great achievement and credit is due to the squad and management team of Mick McElligott, Jimmy Foran and Philip Lang. The squads attention will shortly turn to the B Championship.

On Saturday evening  our senior men secured a spot in the final of the Division I League against Tourlestrane following a 2-13 to 1-08 win at home to Eastern Harps which confirmed a second place finish in the League table . Goals in each half from the McLaughlin brothers Alan and Niall set Jimmy Langan's side on their way to an impressive win. John Gilsennan had a fine outing in goals and Daniel Keaney once again impressed in defence. Darren Gilsennan was outstanding at centrefield. Cathal Herron made a welcome return to action in an attack in which Alan McLaughlin and Dara Elliott both gave good displays. This Sunday the team open their Intermediate championship campaign against St Mary's in Markievicz Park at 4.15pm.

This Friday evening July 29th our U14 Boys have a quarter final A championship clash away to St Michaels at 7.00pm.

Congratulations to Benbulben Gaels U14 Boys hurling squad featuring a number of players from St Molaise Gaels who won the League final 0-14 to 0-13 against Naomh Eoin.
