Registration Evening

This year’s club Registration evening will take place on Monday February 13th in the Strandhill Lodge and Suites from 7.00. New members are always welcome.

Weekly Lotto

There was no winner of the weekly lotto draw held on Monday, 16th  January. Numbers drawn were 8,11,26,29. The jackpot now stands at €13,200. Match three winners of Fergal, Marty, Laura, Bree’s Pub win €50.00. The weekly lotto draw takes place at 9pm every Monday night in Coolera/Strandhill GAA Club House, Ransboro Park. Weekly Lotto tickets may be purchased currently at Brees Bar, Strandhill; Keanes Centra, Strandhill; Coolera House and Margarets Cafe, Finisklin. It is hoped in the very near future to have the Lotto available on-line. Please check the club website www.coolerastrandhill.com for further details.

Annual Club Social

The Club Social will take place this Saturday January 28th in Coolera House at 8.30. A limited number of tickets are available from Frank on 0879133800. It promises to be a most enjoyable night, with food, spot prizes, music and dance.

Indoor Hurling

Underage Indoor hurling for under 8s and under 10s continues every Thursday in Sligo Regional Sports Centre from 7.00-8.00pm. Why not come along and try this great sport. Hurleys and helmets are provided. Contact Benny O’ Loughlin for more details.

Indoor Programme for u6-u10

A preparation session for coaches involved with the underage indoor programme will take place on Friday January 27th in the Ursuline College Gym from 7.00-8.00pm.

The programme commences the following Friday (Feb 3rd) for under 6s and under 8s in the Ursuline at 6.00.  Contact Myra McDaniel or Tommy Craddock for further details.

The under 10s begin on Friday Feb 10th also in the Ursuline, from 7.00-8.00pm. For more information comtact Michael Harte.

Injury Rehab Programme

An injury rehab programme for young players who need help rehabilitating from medium to long term injuries takes place in Scarden Centre of Excellence each Monday from 5.00-6.00pm. Sessions cost €5.00 each.

Gárda Vetting now on-line

It is compulsory for all individuals to obtain Gárda Vetting before working with children on behalf of the club/GAA. Vetting can now be obtained on-line on http://www.gaa.ie/news/vetting/. All coaches and mentors are encouraged to renew their vetting immediately, while new members are requested to begin the process immediately.

National Club Draw Tickets

Members who have as yet not returned their tickets for the National Club Draw are asked to do so as quickly as possible. In order to qualify for the draw, the club must sell a minimum of 200 tickets at €10.00 each. ALL money raised from the sale of the tickets stays in the club so the more we sell, the better for our club. Tickets must be returned by the end of this month as details must then be entered on line in order to be included in the draw.
