Keith Raymond scored 2-7 as he helped his side get their first win of the campaign. In tight first half it was only Keith’s goal that was the difference at the break as Sligo lead 1-6 – 0-6.

But after the restart both sides cancel each other out until Sligo scored 1-2 without reply brace from Dathi Collins and second goal from Raymond had Sligo in control 2-11 – 0-9, It got worse for Leitrim when Liam Moreton was shown second yellow card and ensured his side had play the remainder of the match with 14 men.

Eamon Kilgannon came on as Second half substitute and he marked his first appearance as he scored 1-1. Leitrim did get consolation goal before the end.
