We wish the boys football team from St. Michaels National School and their coach and manager Deirdre Kelly and Niamh Murtagh the very best of luck in the Cumman na mBunscoil Co. Shield Final which will be played on Tuesday evening next in Markievicz Park at 4.30pm. Support for this fine young team will be very much appreciated on the evening.The panel are as follows - Diarmuid Henry, Kyle Maloney, Kevin Carnahan, Lucas Calvey, Callum Neary, Michael Clifford, Stephen Mooney, Eamon Byrne, Kealan Moylan, Zack Clarke, Odhran Gallagher, Michael Gallagher,Rian Martin, Zac Brennan, Callum Rowley Hopkins and Mike Quinn.
The Junior team got back to winning ways on Sunday when they overcame neighbors Tourlestrane away in the Fury Coaches division three league on a 1-10 to 0-9 scoreline. Their next outing is away to Shamrock Gaels on Saturday evening next at 7.30pm.
The best of luck our own Sligo Rose of Tralee contestant Lisa Maloney and her Cloonacool Rosebud Clodagh Gavigan who had a very successful fundraising event in Cloonacool Community Centre on Friday evening of last week.
Good luck to all students who are sitting Junior and Leaving Certificate examinations at the present time.
Sympathy is extended to the family,relatives and friends of the late Tony Henry formerly of Ballinamona who passed away recently in Donegal. He was the brother of the late Francis Henry. May he rest in peace.
