Cloonacool GAA Club notes
Congrats to the U14 boys team who won the Shield county final last week in Scarden. Our Junior team went down to a strong Ballymote outfit at home at the weekend. This was a hard fought game all the way through and with a little more luck the result might have been closer. They are away to Easkey on Saturday evening next at 7.30pm. Training continues during the week and every available player is encouraged to make every effort to attend as championship preparations get underway. The U16 team have qualified for the final of the league which will be played in the coming days. We wish them the best of luck in this game.
Well done to the Sligo ladies Intermediate team and their manager Paddy Henry on their great success on winning the Connacht Intermediate title at MacHale Park Castlebar on Sunday week last. We wish them well in the All-Ireland series.
Hard luck to the Sligo minor team who lost to Galway in the Connacht minor final played on Sunday last in Pearse Stadium in Galway. We are represented on the panel by Oisin Grehan and Conal Ryan. The best of luck in their next game.
Team managers are asked to note that all notes for publication are to be with the clubs PRO Tom Towey by Saturday evening at the latest, for the following week.
