The Cloonacool/Tubbercurry U16 team played out a very competitive league final against neighbours Curry in Tourlestrane on Monday of last week. This game was only decided in the second half of extra time with both sides out on their feet on a fine warm evening. Bill Cartys and David Currans team can hold their heads high after a fine league competition which went down to the wire. The Minor team went down to Owenmore Gaels in the Shield final in Scarden after a comprehensive win over Ballymote/Bunnanadden in the semi-final. Our Juniors short a number of regulars suffered defeat against a good Enniscrone/ Kilglass team on Sunday last at home. Hard triers were Pakie McIntyre, Fergus Leonard, Ronan Leonard, Darren Heneghan, Aiden Kilcoyne, and Conor Prendergast. Training continues during the week, with an away game against Eastern Harps on next Saturday evening.
