Well done to our senior team who played away to Charlestown Sarsfields in the Leo Kenny Cup and came out the right side of a tight game which finished 0-14 to 1-13.  This qualified them for a quarter final away to Aghamore GAA this evening (Tuesday) at 7.30pm.  On Sunday they host Eastern Harps with throw-in at 1.00pm.

Our Junior team hosted Eastern Harps last week and, whilst scoring more goals, with numbers depleted lost 3-5 to 2-12.  They now host Tourlestrane this Friday at 8pm.

Congratulations to the minor boys who won the Division 2 League final in Scarden last Thursday evening beating Geevagh/St Michael’s on a scoreline of 1-9 to 11. The lads now prepare for the Minor Championship which takes place over the coming weeks.

The U12 boys are away to Eastern Harps this evening at 7pm.

The ladies’ intermediate championship continues at home versus St Patrick's this Sunday at 10am. This is effectively a quarter final so please come out and support the ladies.

Our minor girls also played Geevagh/St Michael’s last week.  This was the second round of the championship and with home advantage we came away with a win. This was a real team performance and every player was exceptional throughout. Even though St Mary’s were reduced to 14 for 10 minutes in the first half they defended well to limit the opposition’s chances. The final score line was 7-10 to 4-10. Next up the girls play Calry/St Joseph’s away tomorrow, Wednesday, at 7pm.

The U10 girls travelled to Ballyshannon last Tuesday evening to take part in a Blitz. The girls played 4 very competitive games, winning 3. All the girls worked extremely hard in very warm conditions and continue to improve. The girls scored some fantastic points and defended brilliantly throughout each game. A special thanks to all the parents who travelled to support the girls.

Our race night social event will now take place in the clubhouse on this Friday the 28th of July.

We lost a stalwart of our community last week with the death of Anne Wall.  May she rest in eternal peace.  Anne was very involved in many organisations, including Community Games, and one of her specialities within our club was photography.  We extend our heartfelt sympathies to her husband Kevin Molloy (former Chairperson) and children Mark, Jenni and Rory.

Sympathy is also extended to the O’Keeffe family of Cavan on the passing of Denis RIP, brother of former club player Kieran Coolaney.
