Our Boys U11 squad are through to the Division III County final on August 23rd against Eastern Harps following last Tuesdays thrilling extra time win at home to Drumcliffe/Rosses Point. It was a contest that ebbed and flowed as each side had periods of dominance but in extra time the home side were able to establish a lead that they held onto for a 18 to 15 score victory. Our Division I side were beaten 23 score to 17 in the Shield  semi final on the same night by Ballymote/Bunninadden.

Our U12 Girls had a good home win against Shamrock Gaels in the Championship on Friday on a scoreline of 3-07 to 3-04. Also on Friday night our Minor Boys produced a fantastic away performance to edge out Tourlestrane in the A championship on a 4-05 to 2-10 scoreline. A James Heraghty free with eight minutes remaining proved decisive and the Gaels side showed great resolve and determination to withstand the efforts of the home side in the remaining period to clinch a great win.

This Wednesday evening our U10 Boys have a Blitz in Scarden with the opening fixture throwing in at 6.30pm.

Friday evening August 18th our U14 Boys are away to Tourlestrane in the A Championship at 7.00pm. On Monday next our U16 Boys are at home to Ballymote/Bunninadden in the A Championship at 7.00pm.

On Saturday evening August 19th our senior men will look to put last weeks disappointing  championship defeat to Coolera/Strandhill behind them with a fixture against Calry/St Joseph's in Markievicz Park at 5.pm.  A 5-07 to 0-10 scoreline in favour of Coolera/Strandhill at markievicz Park last Saturday was not a fair reflection of all the hard work put in by the Panel and Management. However a huge improvement will be required on Saturday to ensure that we can make the knockout stages of the competition.

Our Junior men open their B Championship campaign with a home fixture against Enniscrone/Kilglass on Sunday next august 20th at 11.00am.

Our annual "Cash for Clobber" fundraiser will conclude shortly. If anyone has old clothes and footwear that they don't need the Club would be delighted to take these. Goods can be left at the Club  rooms on any Saturday morning or for the next few weeks during our Camp Friday events.

Our popular Friday Camp for boys and girls ages 5 to 13 continues this Friday August 18th running from 10,00am to 2.00pm. Cost is 5 euro per child payable on the morning. thanks to our senior Players and Ladies who are doings uch great work with the kids at these Camps.

Our next Club Lotto Draw takes place on Monday August 28th at 8.30pm. Thanks to everyone in our Community fort he continued generous support that the club receives for this critical fundraiser.
