Tickets are still on sale for two All Ireland Tickets with the draw this Thursday - only €5 available from any club member – if you are not in, you can’t win.

Thanks to all who attended the club forum last week end. The data gathered will now be used as the basis for the Club Development Plan – more at a later date.

The club will be hosting ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in a major fundraising event on 17th November in the Clayton Hotel.

The senior team have been drawn against St Johns in the semi-final of the Intermediate Championship on the weekend of 23rd September while the junior team advance to the Quarter Final of the A Championship next Saturday against Owenmore Gaels – time and venue to be decided.

The U16 Girls had a 6-14 to 3-5 win over Eoghan Rua last week and now take on Owenmore Gaels this Thursday a 6.30PM in Riverstown Park where a win will see the Girls into the Championship final. The team was: Meabh McDermott, Ellie McDermott, Laoise King, Isobel Clark, Chloe McTiernan, Amy Healy, Jade Lyons (1-2), Eala McDermott (0-2), Ceili Faughnan (0-2), Erin Mullaney, Jane Benson (0-1), Makayla McLoughlin (2-5), Nadine Hargadon (3-2). Subs: Aine Kearns, Leah Monahan, Danielle McGovern, Kate Brehony, Jessica Crowley, Grace O’Carroll.  

Hard luck to the Girls U14’s who exited from the championship after losing to CT Gaels last Monday. The team was: Emma O’Carroll, Lucy Williams, Kate Brady, Meghan Potter, Eleanor Murphy, Andie Brady, Lara Swan, Ceili Faughnan, (0-5), Ellie McDermott (1-0), Ruby Clark, Nadine Hargadon (0-1), Nola Eivers, Amy Willis (2-0), Ana McCann, Meave Lyons (1-1). Subs used: Emma Crowley, Eimear Kelly. Thanks to managers Catherine Tuohy and Tom Faughnan for their work with the team this year.

We had our last coaching session of the year last Saturday with a visit from Boyle who played our U8 and U10’s while the U6’s enjoyed skills, obstacles course and games to bring the season to a close. Thanks to all the coaches for their time and commitment during the year: U10 - Declan Brehony, Stephen Rooney, Bryan Johnson and Danielle Mullen; U8 - Andrew Malone, David Wimsey, Martin Cassidy, Neil Fitzpatrick and Fiona Lyons; U6 - Mairead Tuohy, Ciaran Garry, Michael Tonry, Patricia Willis, Nadine Barrett, Donie McDermott, Shane Quigley and Noel Jinks. Thanks also to the Senior players who attended during the year to referee and assist with coaching. Thanks also to Ursula Lyons and Mary Quinn and parents who assisted with tea and refreshments.

The U13 Boys feile team play Drumcliffe in Riverstown Park this Tuesday at 6.15PM.

The Minor boys play Tourlestrane in Coola Thursday  at 6.15PM.

There was no winner of the lotto last weekend with the numbers drawn 8, 12, 27, 29. There was one match 3 winner, Seamus Galvin. The jackpot now stands at €2,000 with the next draw Saturday 23rd in Tommy Macs.
