It was another disappointing weekend for the club when our minor team were defeated in the Minor B final on Sunday. As with the Intermediate team the previous weekend the losing margin was 5 points.The final score was St. Farnan's 2-9, Coolaney/ Mullinabreena 3-11. Despite losing the team put in a very creditable performance and battled hard throughout. A big thank you to all the players and manager Paul O'Brien for all the work and dedication during the year. Thanks to John Hallinan for his generous sponsorship towards the tops for the Minor team. Thanks also to Kristy Murphy and staff of The Still for food and refreshments on Sunday. 
Hard luck to Easkey/St. Farnan's under 16 hurlers who were defeated in the Connaught semi final on Thursday last in Bekan. Commiserations also to Western Gaels on their defeat to Carry/ St. Joseph's in the senior hurling final.
Congratulations to the club's two nominees Gerry Connolly and Sean Kilgannon who were honoured at the Senior County finals for their voluntary work with St. Farnan's over the years. Both men have given invaluable service to the club at many levels and are very worthy recipients of this honour.

Good luck to Dermot Browne, Garrett Mullaney and Sligo Masters in the All Ireland semi final tomorrow.  Good luck to Cahan Hallinan, David Hallinan and Sligo under 16's in the Manning Cup competition.

Our u 21 team have their first game away to Eastern Harps on Monday at 12 noon.
