The club would like to thank all who helped make the Strictly Come Dancing show such an outstanding success. Apart from raising funds for the continued development of the club's facilities, it was great to get the community together for such an enjoyable evening. The club will be making a contribution to the North West Hospice from the proceeds. A special word of thanks goes to our participants on the night, Harry King, Lauren Tuohy, Liam Brennan, Kate Willis, Luke Flynn, Cian McDermott, Nadine Barrett, Joe Quinn, John Kilkenny, Ciaran O'Connor, Simone Kelly, Frank Quinn, Una Cafferky, John McPartland, Yvonne Doherty, Liam Kelly, Therese Duignan, Martin Nealon, Camilla Jinks and our winners Eugene Carroll and Brenda Parke. They put in an exceptional amount of preparation for the event and the club is grateful to them for giving up their time to ensure its success. Thanks also to the backing dancers who supported some of the acts. A special word of thanks to Claire McMorrow who worked with the dancers over the last 8 weeks to refine their moves, to Paul Quinn, for his usual professional performance as MC and to our judges Belinda Henry, Kevin Blessing and Andrea Gilligan. Thanks to all the Club members and mentors who were heavily involved and put in a huge effort to raise funds. Thanks to Roisin Kearns, Meabh McDermott, Aine Kearns and Rachel Boyd for makeup, Rory O'Brien on sound, Eamon McMunn on PR, The Clayton Hotel and Staff and a special word of thanks to Michelle McMorrow and Catherine Tuohy for the tremendous work put into organising the event. Lastly, the club would like to thank our sponsors and the community who's support both financially and attending in such numbers on the night ensured the event was a resounding success.

Scor na nOg 2017 takes place next Sunday 26th November in Ballintogher Hall with categories in music group, figure dancing, set dancing, solo singing, ballad singing and novelty act. The Question Time takes place on 10th December. Anyone interested in taking part should contact Yvonne Doherty or Michelle McMorrow. 

The U21 team take on Eastern Harps in the final of the B Championship next Saturday at 2.30 - venue TBC - please support.

There was no winner or match 3 winner in the lotto draw last weekend with the numbers drawn 8, 17, 22, 26. The next draw takes place on Sat 2nd December in Tommy Macs for the jackpot of €2,500.


The Bord Ná Nóg AGM takes place on Friday 1st December at 8.00PM while the main club AGM will be  on Sunday 3rd December at 5.00PM.


The club wish to express sympathy with the family and relatives of Gus Conlon, Laois and formerly of Drumnacool who died recently.
