The
club unveiled Jimmy Langan as the Senior Men’s manager for the upcoming season
at last week’s monthly meeting. A Grange native, Jimmy is steeped in Sligo
football and his experience is warmly welcomed throughout the club. All at
Owenmore Gaels would like to wish Jimmy, his selectors and the team the very
best for the year ahead.
Scór na nÓg
As
the competitions wind down on the field in the county, attention is now turning
to GAA matters off the pitch. This is a special Winter season for Sligo GAA and
its Scór Committee as we host the All Ireland Finals at both Scór Sinsir and
Scór na nÓg levels.
Clubs
are asked to make an extra special effort to get involved as we aim to have
some home grown talent take to the stage of IT Sligo come Spring 2018. For the
first time ever Scór na bPaistaí is being run for Primary School children in
October in a bid to foster a relationship with the association and Scór.

Check
out our new underage kit now available to buy at Jako Sports. This will be the
playing kit for our U-10 and U-8 teams. The T-shirt (a requirement for U-8 and
10's) is €15, with an option of shorts and socks for €22 total. Sizes catering
right down to our nursery kids.

Club Lotto
The Lotto draw took place in Connolly's Bar on Monday 8th January. The
numbers drawn were 16, 18, 27 & 29.
There was no winner of the €8,200 Jackpot. Congrats to our ‘Lucky Dip'
Winners Sylvester Mahon, Peter Wynne, Beatie Collery and our 'Online Lucky Dip'
Craig Brennan Winner who get €30 each.. As there was no Jackpot Winner this
week, the Jackpot rolls over to €8,300. The next draw will take place on Monday
22nd January in Cullen's Bar.
