AGM

Our club AGM was very well-attended in the astro turf complex at Quigabar last Friday. After a very busy year of development for the club in 2017, both the Chairman’s report and Secretary’s report documented the major progress of the past year. Both also extended sympathy to any bereaved families during the year, particularly noting the sad passing of club stalwart Joe McManus in January. Treasurer Eugene Nelson presented the club’s financial position, which was most encouraging as we head into another season. Thanks were also extended to Francie Gallagher who vacated his roles as vice chair and blotto coordinator. The 2018 committee is as follows - Patrons: Joe Quinn, Peadar O’Neill, Canon George McHale, Edward Harte; President: Oliver Bourke; Vice President: John P Mullaney; Chairperson: Declan Rouse; Vice Chairperson: PJ Kavanagh; Secretary: Brendan Murray; Assistant Secretary: Catherine Tuffy and Shane Hargadon; Treasurer: Eugene Nelson; Assistant Treasurer: Breda Sheridan, Clair Beglin Duffy, Joe Cawley (development); PRO: Cathal Mullaney and David Tuffy; County Board delegate: Declan Rouse and Joe Queenan; Irish Officer: Tom McManus; Registrar: Marty Duffy; Pitch Committee: Paddy Tuffy, Mixie Jacob, Johnny Mullaney, Michael Gordon, Liam Cawley, Ciaran Sweeney; Schools Coordinator/Child Protection Officer: Martin McHale; Coaching Coordinator: John Paul Carden; Grants/Funding: Declan Rouse, Mixie Jacob, Mattie Coleman, Joe Cawley, Eugene Nelson; Blotto coordinator: Brian Coleman, Insurance Officer: Brendan Murray. The club looks forward to a busy and successful 2018.

Well done to the Sligo hurlers and clubman Aidan Morrison on their league win over Cavan on Sunday.
