St. Farnan's/ St. Pat's Minor team played two games last week. On Tuesday they suffered their first defeat in the league to Coolera/ Strandhill by 1-16 to 2-11. On Friday they had a narrow victory over Calry/ St. Joseph's winning on a scoreline of 2-16 to 2-15. On Thursday the under 14 team had their first game of the year when they played Coolaney/ Mullinabreena in Templeboy. Despite a good performance they were defeated by 4-7 to 1-8. The intermediate team have yet to get a win in the league following a 2-12 to 1-6 defeat by Castleconnor on Saturday last. They will face Easkey in St. Farnan's Park on Saturday at 6.30 pm.
On Monday St. Farnan's/ St. Pat's braved the elements to play Castleconnor in the under 16 league. The home side had depleted numbers for the match and lost by 6-8 to 4-4. Both sides are to be complimented for their efforts despite dreadful weather conditions.
On Tuesday our under 12 team played away to Castleconnor. This young team performed very well despite the scoreline. On Wednesday  in Templeboy the under 8/10's played Ballymote in their first game of the season and a very enjoyable evening was had by all.
Don't forget our next 50/50 draw is on Sunday, 22 April. Play on line or purchase tickets locally.
The club extends sympathy to the family, relatives and friends of the late Donal Kirby. We also extend our condolences to Western Gaels on their sad loss. Are Dheis Dé go raibh sé.
