Club News
The Club is
hosting a Marathon Relay on May 27th at Connolly Park. The benefits
of the event will go towards our u14 boys side who are representing Sligo in
the All Ireland Feile at the end of June. All participants welcome, with an entry

A massive
well done to everyone who took part in Darkness into light on Saturday morning
last and supported a very worthy cause. In particular a massive well done to the
strong Owenmore Gaels contingent who took part.
The Senior mens team defeated Cloonacool on a scoreline of Owenmore
Gaels 4-12 Cloonacool 1-10 on a beautiful evening in Connolly Park on
Saturday evening. A crucial win. A full report of the game can be found on the
Owenmore Gaels Facebook page. There is a four week break for the first team but
the Division 4 side will get their campaign underway this Sunday when they face
Castleconnor in Connolly Park. Throw in at 2pm.
The U16 boys will
be hoping to get their league campaign back on track when they faced Calry
St/Joseph’s away on Monday evening. Throw in is at 7pm.
The U-12 boys
travel to Ballymote to face Ballymote/Bunninadden on Tuesday evening after a
week’s rest. Best of luck lads.
The Minor
boys are in action on Friday evening when they travel to Enniscrone to face
Easkey/Enniscrone. The lads have had a mixed campaign so far but have put in
some good performances. Throw in is at 7pm.
The U14 boys
had a good win over Ballymote/Bunninadden at home last Thursday. A strong
performance from the lads resulted in a 6-8 to 3-11 victory. The u-14 boys will
be looking to continue their march up the table as they face St.Molaise Gaels
in Grange on Sunday morning. Throw in for that one is at 11pm.
Congratulations to the U16 girls on Tuesday evening at
Connolly Park where they played CT Gaels. A brilliant performance by all 18
girls on the team saw Owenmore Gaels convincing winners on a score line of OMG
7 -16 CTG 2-5. The team play Eoghan Rua on May 22. Well done girls, keep up the
good work.
Our Saturday
morning coaching continues on Saturday mornings, 10am-11am in Connolly Park. For
ages 4-10years. A fun introduction to football . To participate kids must be registered. See the club

A massive well done to the U8
girls who played their first stand alone game on Wednesday evening last. Even
though the result wasn’t the one that was hoped for, the girls thoroughly
enjoyed the game. A massive thank you to St. Nathy’s, who provided the fixture.

kit for our U-10 and U-8 teams. The T-shirt (a requirement for U-8 and 10's) is
€15, with an option of shorts and socks for €22 total. Sizes catering right
down to our nursery kids.

Club Lotto
The Lotto draw took place in the Owenmore Inn on Monday 30th April.
The numbers drawn were 3, 15, 22 & 30.
There was no winner
of the €9,000 Jackpot. Congrats to our Match ‘3’ Winners Peter Wynne and T
McLoughlin who get €50 each. As there was no Jackpot Winner this week, the
Jackpot rolls over to €9,100. The next draw will take place on Monday 14th
May in Connolly’s Bar Collooney.
