Senior Football

Our Burns Cars-sponsored senior team had St Patricks as visitors to Stenson Park on Sat evening and our lads got back to winning ways with a well-deserved 2 – 13 to 2 -5 victory. This performance built on the improvement shown last week and hopefully this can be maintained over the remaining league fixtures and into the championship campaign. St Johns got off to a great start and led by double scores 2-6 to 1-3 at the break and kept up the good work in the second half to finish comfortable winners. St Johns lineout; N O’Donnell; A Clerkin, E Roche, P McLean; N Hayes, P McNamara, R Fahy; D Burke, S Stenson; M Rooney(0-2), B McGowan(0-4), T Kelly(0-2); R McManus(2-3), K Sweeney, C Greene(0-2). We have a bye in the Benson Cup next weekend.

 St Johns Lotto Draw The numbers drawn on Sat May 12th were 7 – 17 – 26 – 29.There was no winner of the Jackpot prize of E12,000. The winners of the E25 consolation prizes were Steven Browne,C/O Clifford Electrical; Joanne Mc Mahon, Drumiskabole; Shane Crockock, Upper Heatherview and Allison Foley, C/o Crozon Inn. The next draw will take place on Sat May 26th at 10pm in The Riverside Hotel. Lotto tickets can be purchased from Cannings, Cornageeha; Clifford Electrical, Carraroe; The Blue Lagoon, Riverside; Mc Morrow’s Shop, Cairns Rd.; Crozon Inn; Molly Fultons, Carraroe. 

Under 16 Football

Our U16 team are at home to Curry in the Div 1 league in Stenson Park on Mon May 28th with the throw-in at 7.00pm

Under 14 Boys Football

Our U14 boys travel to Tourlestrane on Thurs 24th to take on the home side with the throw in down for 7.00pm

Under 12 Boys Football

Our Under 12 Div 1 and Div 3 Boys teams travelled to Fr Breheny Park, Keash to take on the home teams Eastern Harps and were unsuccessful in both games. On Tues May 29th we welcome Ballymote/Bunninadden to Stenson Park in the next round with the throw in for both games fixed for 7.00pm.  

Under 8/10s

On Wed. 23rd our Under 8 and 10s are at home in Stenson Park where they welcome St Farnans as visitors with the games starting at 7.00.

Underage Training Schedule

Boys under 11/12/14/16/18 –Every Monday 6.30 to 8pm at Cuilbeg

Girls under 8/10/12/14 – Every Saturday  from 10 to 11.30am in Cleveragh

Boys under 7/8/9/10 – Every Saturday from 10 to 11.30am in Cleveragh

Boys and Girls Under 6 (born2012/13)  on Saturdays from 10 to 11.30 am in Cleveragh. ( 8 Week Program).

Under 12 Girls Football

Our Under 12 girls team played Curry in the Div C league semi final last Thurs evening in Stenson Park and after a close game, with both sides displaying some good football, our girls managed to come out on top by 12 scores to 9 and thus they qualified to meet Ct Gaels in the final which will be played on June 9th.This was a good squad performance again with all 22 girls getting game time. Good luck to the girls and their coaches on getting to the final.
