Hard luck to St. Farnan's/ St. Pat's under16 team in the B league shield final against Castleconnor on Tuesday last in Quigabar. The team were defeated by two points in a high scoring game with the final result Castleconnor 6-10, St. Farnan's/ St. Pat's 4-14. The team play the first round of the championship  away on Monday at 7 against Calry/ St. Joseph's. The under 12 team lost to St. Michael's on Tuesday by 11 scores to 8.

The 50/50 draw will be held on Sunday, July 15. Well done to Nora Mc Cloat, winner of €162 in the last draw.

The junior team had a good win in their league match against Owenmore Gaels on Sunday last in Templeboy. This was a high scoring encounter with the final score St. Farnan's 5-17, Owenmore Gaels 4-12. The first half was very competitive with both sides exchanging scores and the home side leading 2-7 to 1-7 at half time. St. Farnan's first score came from a penalty scored by Ryan Mc Coombe. Indeed St. Farnan's had the greater share of possession and could have been further in front. After the break St. Farnan's dominated the first fifteen minutes to lead 4-13 to 1-8. Owenmore Gaels to their credit battled hard and reduced the deficit to just one goal, 4-15 to 4-12, having scored three goals in quick succession. St. Farnan's however, held firm and finished strongly with a goal by Stephen Crean. This was a good team performance all round with some great scores. The intermediate team face St. Michael's in a crucial league game on Sunday at 1pm in Templeboy.
