Congrats to the senior lads who picked up their first silverware of the season when they won the Benson Cup last weekend. A speedy recovery to Darragh Cummins  who broke his wrist while playing in the final.
The lads also qualified for the Fureys Coaches division two league final next weekend. Although losing to Castleconnor on Sunday, they qualify to play the same a position in the league decider.
Best of luck lads!
A very young under 12 girls team travelled to Collooney  on Friday evening to play their second championship match of the season. The girls won out on a scoreline of 0-19 to 0-08 to claim their first victory of the campaign.  Next up for the girls is a home fixture on Friday evening against Tourlestrane.
The u-10 footballers play a blitz in Scarden on Wednesday evening while the u-12 hurlers travel to Tourlestrane tonight (Tuesday) to play their league fixture. Also tonight, the ever youthful Junior team have a tough assignment away in Easkey!
We are running a draw for the upkeep of the pitch in both Ballinode and Hazelwood. This will be our main fundraiser for the year . We are asking all families to sell one book of tickets at €5 per ticket and a book of 10 . There are excellent prizes, all sponsored.
This is not a huge ask and every one does a little it’s done .
Managers will be distributing books over the next few weeks.
Thank you in advance!
