Owenmore Gaels are delighted to announce that we will be holding our
official opening of our new stand this coming Saturday 4th August at 2pm. All
are welcome to mark this great occasion. The club would like to take this
opportunity to thank all who sponsored and contributed towards the stand
throughout the past year. We would also like to thank Benson Construction
Ballygawley for their top class work, VHA Architects and Whitesides Centra for
all their time and support. And without doubt the stand would not be here
without Marty Joe Kerins, who drove the project on and was influential in
gaining necessary funds.
In conjunction with our opening of the stand, we will be holding our
annual Area Tournament where 5 areas around the club boundaries will fight it out
to claim this years bragging rights. The areas participating include Knockbeg,
the Town, Gleann Road, Carrickbanagher, Ballinacarrow & Ballisodare. The
tournament throws in around 3pm and will be 9 a-side. Anyone over 16 is welcome
to participate. For more info, contact our facebook page.
