Ballymote GAA Club notes

U 11 Division 3 team have pride of place this week after beating St Johns in semi final last Tuesday St Johns 10 Ballymote/Bunninadden 17 in Carraroe.  This win lead them to Shield final against Owenmore Gaels Thursday evening against Owenmore Gaels.  1st quarter both teams were level 3pts each.  2nd quarter B/B started to edge away score 8pts to Gaels 6pts.  3rd and 4th quarter B/B dominated and finished the game convincing winners.  Final score B/B 15 OG 7.  Captain Luke Durkin received the Shield and made a speech beyond his years, thanking parents, coaches and both clubs.  Team Cormac McHale, Conor Boyle, Conor Walsh, James Lavin 4pts, Paddy Muldoon, Luke Durkin 3pts, Emmanuel Oyewusi 1pt, Euan Boland 1pt, Jack Clavin 4pts, Luke Murray 3pts, James Boyle.  Rolling subs Ruadhan Sheerin, Thomas Sexton, Peadar O Dowd, Colin Finn.  U 12 team lost their semi-final against Coolera/Strandhill last Tuesday. 

U 16 have continued their great start in their championship beating Curry in Curry last Monday.  Curry 3-11 B/B 3-15.  Next game is against Drumcliffe/Rosses Point Monday at 7pm in Ballymote. 

U 14 start their championship against St Molaise Gaels in Ballymote Aug 3rd at 7pm.

Minor team play their rearranged game against Easkey/Enniscrone/Kilglass Gaels Aug 3rd.

Ballymote Intermediate team hope to make up for the disappointment of losing Division 3 with a good start in Intermediate Championship against Shamrock Gaels Aug 5th at 1pm in Bunninadden.
