Last Saturday evening in Cloonacool in the Intermediate Championship quarter final Ballymote met Enniscrone/kilglass.  Nothing can separate these teams as a replay is needed to decide who will play Shamrock Gaels in semi-final. Low scoring dominated first half and it  ended with a score line 0-2   0-3 in favour of Enniscrone/Kilglass.  Ballymote lost Niall Colsh after 25 mins to a serious hamstring injury and we wish Niall well in his recovery. Second half Enniscrone/Kilglass started of brightly scoring 3 unanswered points before Stephen Ross got Ballymote first point of the second half.  Jack Hever was introduced who scored 2 long distanced points, this kick-started Ballymote’s revival.  Superb points from Michael Doddy, Gerry Brennan and Peter Lyons brought Ballymote level with Enniscrone/Kilglass.  Ballymote’s final score from Oisin Conlon from 50 meters gave Ballymote the advantage but Enniscrone/Kilglass got the final score drawing this game 0-10 each.  Replay is next Sunday in Tubbercurry at 2pm.  Team M Flannery, K Meehan, P Mullan, C McCann, M Healy, R Flannery (J Hever 0-2), O Conlon 0-1, M Rafferty, M Doddy 0-2, S Langton, N Colsh ( A Cafferty BC (D Clarke), S Ross 0-3, G Brennan 0-1, M Irwin (P Lyons 0-1), N Brennan. Support for Ballymote was great and it’s needed again next Sunday.
Hard luck to U 16 team losing their semi-final against Drumcliffe/Rosses Point.  Huge disappointment for this team but no doubt this group of players have a great future ahead.  Team managed by Pat Moffatt, Michael Finn, Dermot Gormely and Stephen Murray.
U 14 had a tough draw in Shield semi-final playing Tourlestrane in Tourlestrane last Friday. B/B were depleted due to players with injury but played brilliantly and were the deserving winners.  Final score Tourlestrane 3-3 B/B 4-14.  Final is set for next weekend and are awaiting opponents.
U 13 have a Bye into quarter final after Castleconnor withdrew from competition and will play Tourlestrane in Tourlestrane  Tuesday at 6.30pm.
Club draw winners for September are Joan Meehan, Tom McNickleson, Joe Lavin, Karina Underwood, Aidan Brennan, Gerry Gormely, John O Malley and David Glynn.
