The U14 boys defeated Castleconnor last Friday in the semi-final of A championship. Having lost previously away to Castleconner in league and championship, this was a great result for the team. Castleconnor  went into an early lead with two points, however a goal from Conor McMorrow got the Gaels up and running. They continued their dominance going in at half time 3-1 to 0-3 ahead with goals from James Foley and Brian Dwyer and a point from Conor McMorrow. Castleconnor again dominated the early stages of the second half scoring 1-5 without reply. However a well worked move saw Sam Tuohy finish to the back of the net putting Gaels on top again. Castleconnor continued to attack and scored a further 3 points but Gaels responded with two great goals from Ciaran Kenny and a fisted point from James Foley. Castleconnor worked hard under a lot of pressure from the Gaels defence to get two further points but a free from Conor McMorrow sealed the five point victory for the Gaels on a scoreline of 6-3 to 1-13. Well done to the team and management on a great team performance. The team was:- Jack Duignan, Oisin Conlon, Conor Sheridan, George Barlow, Ciaran Kenny (2-0), Jamie Parke, Niall Kenny, Andrew Barlow, Sam Tuohy (1-0), Troy Gilgarro, Conor McMorrow (1-2), Daniel King, Dylan McKenna, Brian Dwyer (1-0), James Foley (1-1) subs: Keelan Brehony, Ryan Parke, Jack Tuohy, Aaron Conlon, Nathan Wimsey.
