Cloonacool/Tubbercurry minor team had a hard fought victory over St. Farnans/St. Patricks on Friday evening last in Cloonacool Community Park on a 2-11 to 0-11 scoreline. They play the same opposition in the B Championship semi-final next weekend. All support will be appreciated by the team and management. Dean Maloney, Shane Prendergast, Sean Carnahan, Conor Gavigan, Daniel O' Dowd, Rian Moylan, Thomas Grismanauskas, Cathal Gallagher, Eoin Carty, Liam Carty. Joint manager is Fergus Leonard. The Cloonacool/Tubber U-14 squad will now play Coolera/Strandhill in the Shield Final in the Centre of Excellence pitch 3 in Scardan on Sunday morning next September 23rd at 11am. The annual Family fun and sports day was held in the community park on Sunday last in fine weather conditions. Children and adults enjoyed some great fun and frolics over a busy two hour period. A big thank you to the many volunteers who turned up to oversee proceedings at the championship match on Saturday evening last between Enniscrone/Kilglass and Ballymote Round Towers.
