Drug Awareness Night with Philly McMahon

The club along with Northwest Regional Drug and Alcohol Task Force are hosting a Drug Awareness evening on Thursday the 22nd of November and are delighted to announce that 6 time All Ireland winner Philly McMahon will be the special guest.

For anybody not familiar with Philly, he is a modern day GAA superstar. He has been pivotal in an incredible Dublin team that has won 6 of the last 8 All-Irelands, the last 4 in a row, and has won two all-star awards. Philly hails from Ballymun in north Dublin. Growing up he seen first hand the devastation drugs can bring to a community, and tragically to his own family. Philly has a powerful message to share.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page for details on any remaining tickets.

**Tickets are free of charge, limited to 4 per person. Recommended for aged 12 upwards. U16s must be accompanied by an adult. Doors open at 7pm with event starting at 7:30pm**

Club News

Connolly park was the chosen venue to host the Connaught Club Intermediate football Semi-Final on Sunday between Shamrock Gaels and Feurty of Roscommon. Well done to Feurty who ran out convincing winners. The club would like to thank all who volunteered to steward, tidy up the grounds, help in the shop and in the car park as well as many more things. Without you we would not be able to host such big events. Thanks also to all the supporters who came and travelled in great numbers to add to the fine occasion.
