U-21
The
Enniscrone-Kilglass/Easkey U-21 footballers are through to the semi-final
stages of the A Championship. They await confirmation of their next fixture.
Weekend matches
Thanks to
our fantastic team of stewards who provided great hospitality once again for
last Saturday’s Connacht Club Junior Football Championship tie between Easkey
and Balla. A word of praise too to our pitch committee who had the playing
surface in superb shape despite heavy rain in the week leading up to the
fixture.
County scene
Pride of place this week goes to Gavin Duffy, Oisin Hynes and Michael
Duffy following Sligo’s capture of the U-16 Fr Manning Cup title in Longford
last Saturday. With Gavin at corner forward, Oisin at wing back and Michael in
the Bainisteoir’s bib, Sligo ended as 2-14 to 1-9 winners. Well done to the
lads and everyone involved on a great success for the county.
Lights for Quigabar
The club has secured planning permission for the erection of floodlights
on our main playing pitch at Quigabar. Further details on potential progress in
regard to this project in the near future.
Christmas is coming…
With
Christmas on the way, check out the club’s online shop with O’Neills for some
high quality club gear. There’s a great selection and any item would make for a
great present. To visit the site, visit the O’Neills website and search for
Enniscrone/Kilglass under the GAA club section.
Club lapel pins
There are a
limited number of lapel pins showcasing the club crest – and importantly the
correct spelling of Enniscrone as Gaeilge agus as Béarla – available at
present. They are a quality item that would make a great present, and also show
your support for the upcoming plebiscite on the town name. They are available
from any committee member for €10.
Blotto
There was
no winner of last weekend’s blotto draw. The draw continues every Saturday
night.
