The Annual Michael Hannon Memorial Cup was played at the local court 

recently. Players from Ballaghadereen,Bofield,Glenties,Castleconnor,Coolooney,

Drumcliffe,and Ballymote took part.

In the final local pair Francis McCann and Cormac Finn defeated Jason Earlis (Castleconnor) and Clive Slevin (Drumcliffe).

In the plate final Dave Mulhern (Glenties) and Tom Foody (Castleconnor) was defeated by Michael Ginley (Bofield) and Colin Slevin (Drumcliffe).

and thanked the club for continuing to organize the Tournament every year.

The AGM of The Sligo Handball Board was held last week. Local club member

Francis McCann is into his second term as Chairman.In his address to AGM he congratulated all the achievements at Provincial ,All Ireland and World Level by adult and juvenile players.He called on the promotion of One Wall and the construction on of one Wall Court into areas of the county where there is no Handball tradition and also into schools where young people could be introduced to the game.Club member Michael Finn was re elected as Juvenile Development Officer.
