St Johns AGM 2018

The St Johns AGM took place last Sunday in The Sligo Park Hotel with a large crowd in attendance. Reports of the activities were presented by the Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Team Managers, Pitch Committee, Lotto Committee, Bord Na nOg, Ladies Football Committee and The Social Committee. Following the reports the following officers were elected for the coming year ;  Patrons- Fr Jim Murray, Fr Dominick Gillooly, Fr Steven Walsh and Fr Pat Lombard; Presidents- Paddy Galvin and Gene Flynn; Chairman- Seamus Casey; Vice Chairman- Fergal Kelly ; Secretary- Sarah Mc Namara; Asst. Sec Niamh Walsh; Treasurer- Sean Reilly; Asst Geraldine Gordon; Co Board Rep Charlie Jordan; Irish Officer- Olivia Flannery; Insurance Officer- Colm Nevin; PRO- Tommy Mc Manus; Asst James Conneely; Coaching Officer- Gerry Quinn; Substance Abuse Officer- Gerard Egan; Health and Welfare Officer- Shauna Lineen; Children’s Officers- Ciaran Feeney (Boys), Olivia Flannery(Girls);      Registrar-Fergal Henry; Development Officer- Niall Gordon; Pitch Committee Chairman- Niall Gordon; Social Committee Chairman- John Greene; IT Committee Chairman- James Conneely

Bord Na nOg Chairman- Fergal Kelly; Vice Chairman- Ciaran Feeney; Sec –Liam Cashell;  Girls Section- Chairperson- Liam Kelly; Vice – Olivia Flannery; Sec- Victoria Mc Guinness; Treasurer- Angela Kelly;

In concluding the meeting the Chairman Seamus Casey proposed a vote of sympathy to all club members who had suffered bereavements during the year and thanked all for attending.

St Johns Lotto

The St John’s Lotto Jackpot was not won in the draw that took place in The Clubhouse, Cuilbeg on Sat Nov 24th when the numbers drawn were 9, 12, 20 and 29. The winners of the E25 consolation prizes were Anne Quinn, Moloway Place; Mary Kilcoyne, C/O Clifford Electrical; Alison Foley, C/O The Crozon Inn and Senan Dempsey, Killala, Co Mayo. The next draw for a massive Jackpot prize of E12,650 will take place next Sat Dec 8th in Cannings House and Garden, Cornageeha. Tickets at E2 each or 3 for E5 can be purchased at Molly Fulltons, Carraroe; Gerry Mc Morrow’s shop, Cairns Rd; Clifford Electrical, Carraroe; The Blue Lagoon, Riverside; Canning’s House and Garden, Cornageeha and The Crozon Inn, Caltragh or from club members. So to be in with a chance of winning that big prize to liven up the Christmas be sure to get your ticket early as if you are not in you cannot win !

Sympathy

The St John’s club extend sympathy to Martin Keaney and family on the recent death of his brother in Leitrim and to Stephen Carty and family on the death of his father.

Congratulations to senior footballer Thomas Kelly who passed out from Templemore Garda Training College on Friday – yet another St Johns man joining the Boys in Blue
