The clubs A.G.M. which was held over the Christmas season was well attended and after the reports were read a detailed discussion followed on the past years activities  Also plans were put in place for the up-coming season.  A number of positions were left over to be filled at the January meeting. At the election of officers the following were ratified for the coming year. Patron - Fr. Kevin Johnston, President - Michael Rowley, Chair- Bill Carty, Secretary - Fergus Leonard, Treasurer - Brid Calvey, Assistant Treasurer - Neil Walsh, P.R.O. Function - Kate Carty/Daniel O' Dowd/Tom Towey, Coaching Officer - Brian McIntyre, Co. Board Delegate - Fr. Dan O' Mahony/Ronnie Leonard, Schools Delegate - Pat Taaffe, Childrens Officer - Oliver Davitt, Health & Wellbeing Officer - Kevin Gallagher, Development Officer - Michael Armstrong, Park Maintenance - Joe Leonard. A finance committee was also elected to run the fund-raising function for the year ahead. The next big event is the 5k road race which will be held on Sunday the 10th February next at 12 noon, with registration from 10.30 am in the clubhouse. All those who can help with stewarding on the day should contact the chairperson or secretary in the coming weeks. Operation Transformation is going extremely well with great crowds on the weekly Sunday morning walks and also the fitness classes on Tuesday evening and on Saturday mornings. Congratulations to Easkey G.A.A. club on qualifying for the All-Ireland Junior club football final in Croke Park on Saturday 9th February next, where they will meet their opponents from the kingdom of Kerry Beaufort G.A.A. club. We wish them the very best of luck in their efforts to bring the All Ireland trophy back to Sligo.
