Connolly Park Hosts Sligo vs Down

The club were delighted to have the honour of hosting Sligo’s opening National League game against Down last Sunday. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be Sligo’s day as Down scored a goal in the last few minutes of the game to take home the bragging rights on a score line of 1-10 to 1-12. Thanks to both sets of supporters who were very cooperative on the day. It was with great pride that the club could host a game of such significance and we would like to thank all who volunteered on the day in every capacity as it was a real community effort.

The club are currently reaching out to local businesses to advertise at Connolly Park in the form of a pitch side sign.
With our new stand and excellent location we are getting more major games each year with large attendances guaranteed. Contact Niall on 0877609420 or mail treasurer.owenmoregaels.sligo@gaa.ie for further details.
