Sincere sympathies and condolences to our club member, officer, referee, and senior team mentor John Doyle, and to Janice and the family circle on the very sad and sudden passing of their son, Evan Doyle last week. We held a guard of honour in tribute to Evan on Saturday after the funeral mass, and a minute silence was impeccably observed before our senior hurling league game v Manorhamilton on Sunday afternoon. 

Despite losing this opening Dermot Molloy senior hurling game 2-19 to 2-9 to a strong Manorhamilton lineup we were encouraged by the performance of an inexperienced team, with four players, Darragh Cawley, Fergal O'Kelly-Lynch, Donal Keaveny, and Cathal Corcoran making their debuts at senior level.
