Benson Cup

St Johns 0 – 6  St Farnans  0 – 13

In the quarter of the Benson Cup played in Stenson Park, Cuilbeg on Saturday afternoon our lads had no answer for the visitors from West Sligo , St Farnans who ran out convincing winners. Having built up a substantial lead of 0 – 7 to 0 – 1 by the half time whistle, St Farnans maintained their advantage even though our boys improved their performance greatly in the second half.

Furey Busses Senior League Div 2

This years senior league begins on Sunday next in Stenson Park, Cuilbeg at 2.00pm when we play hosts to St Patricks, Dromard in this first round fixture. New team manager Gerry Monaghan and his backroom staff will be hoping for an improved performance from his squad

Championship Draws

In the Kennedy’s Intermediate Championship our team has been drawn in a 5 team group which includes St Patricks, Enniscrone/Kilglass, Geevagh, Bunninadden and St Johns. Each team plays four games in the group and games begin on the weekend of July 27th.

In the Lola Montez Junior B Championship St Johns are in a group with our near neighbours St Marys and Calry-St Josephs and these games will be played in August.

Minor Football

Our minor footballers amalgamated with neighbours Owenmore Gaels and began their League campaign with a well-deserved draw against Tourlestrane 1 – 8 to 0 – 11.

Under 16 Football

Our Under 16 Boys travelled out to Keash on Sunday last to take on Eastern Harps and were defeated on a scoreline of 4 – 14 to 3 – 6. Their next fixture is on Monday April 1st at 6.30pm in Stenson Park, Cuilbeg when they will take on Castleconnor

St Johns Lotto

In the latest draw for a Jackpot of E13,100 the numbers drawn were 5 – 21 – 22 - 24. There was no winner of the Jackpot prize. The winners of the E25 consolation prizes were Tony Mc Gee, Tonaphubble; Declan Harte, Carraroe; John Clifford, C/O Clifford Electrical and Christy Murphy, Carraroe . The next draw will take place in Canning’s House and Garden, Cornageeha at 8.00pm on Saturday March 30th. Tickets at E2 each or 3 for E5 can be purchased in Clifford Electrical, Carraroe; The Blue Lagoon, Riverside; Gerry Mc Morrow’s Mace Shop, Cairns Rd; Molly Fulton’s Bar and Restaurant, Carraroe; Canning House and Garden, Cornageeha or in The Crozon Inn, Caltragh or from club members
