The Enniscrone-Kilglass/Easkey U-21s booked their place in the A Championship semi-finals with a hard-fought 1-9 to 1-6 win over Tubbercurry/Cloonacool at Kilcoyne Park last Sunday. They take on Shamrock Gaels in the semi-final next Friday at 7pm in Coola. Good luck to everyone involved.

The Enniscrone-Kilglass/Easkey minor footballers are next in action next Monday April 22nd away to St Molaise Gaels.

Our U-16s edged out a two-point win over St Patrick’s last Monday, 4-6 to 3-7, in Dromard. This result leaves the team with two wins from their opening two matches ahead of round three in two weeks away to Owenmore Gaels.

Our U-14s played out a cracking match against St Patrick’s at Quigabar last Tuesday, eventually winning out by five points on a scoreline of 7-6 to 3-13. They are away to Castleconnor in their next game on April 25th.

The U-12 squad have their first competitive match of the year on Tuesday evening (April 16th) at 7pm at home to Curry at 6.30pm. Good luck to the players and management for the year ahead.

We had a wonderful evening at Quigabar for the first west Sligo U-8 blitz of the year. The club had two teams involved and all the boys and girls showed off the skills they’ve been practicing through the winter indoor training programme. Well done to all.

County Scene

Congratulations to Michael Duffy (manager), Gavin Duffy and Oisin Hynes on their involvement with the Sligo minor team that collected silverware last Saturday, winning the Ulster Minor League shield title against Down in Clones. A dramatic finish gave Sligo a 1-9 to 1-8 win. Good luck to the squad and management for the upcoming Connacht Championship campaign.

The blotto draw continues every Saturday night. Next week’s jackpot will be €2400. Thanks to everyone for the continued support.
