It was a weekend to remember for the DRP girls under 12 footballers who lifted the ‘C’ cup title on Saturday with a thrilling one-point win against St Farnan’s. Gemma O’Callaghan received the player of the match award. Well done to all the players and the management team, led by Frank Moylan.

Best of luck to our U14 girls footballers who play CT Gaels in the ‘A’ league final this Wednesday evening at 8pm. Tom O’Boyle’s side have worked very hard to reach this stage of the competition. They beat Eoghan Rua in last week’s semi-final play-off. We wish the team the very best of luck on Wednesday.

Benbulben Gaels hurlers did the club proud at the All-Ireland hurling Féile in Kerry at the weekend. The team was hosted by Kenmare-Kilgarvin. And while we lost our three group matches, the event was a very enjoyable and rewarding experience for our developing young players. Special thanks go to all the travelling parents and supporters who cheered on the team so well.

The U14 hurlers now turn their attention back to the league. They travel west to play Castleconnor this Thursday evening at 7pm.

Our junior men’s footballers were beaten by St Farnan’s on Friday night in Division 4 by 2-18 to 0-10.

Our boys under 12 football teams play Eastern Harps this Tuesday evening in Keash.

Good luck to Eoghan Smith, Lee Cummins and the Sligo minor team in their Connacht championship game against Leitrim this Friday evening in Carrick-on-Shannon. The game is live from 7:30pm on Ocean FM.
