All roads lead to Croke Park this weekend as James Weir will lead the Sligo senior hurling team in the Nicky Rackard final against Armagh on Saturday. Dónall Hanley and Sean Hallinan are also on the panel along with their team mates from Easkey -Rory Mc Hugh, Mikey Gordon and Andrew Kilcullen. We wish them every success. A supporters bus will travel to Croke Park. On Sunday next the club will be very well represented by Patrick O'Connor and Eamonn Kilgannon on the Sligo senior football team as they play Offaly in the qualifiers in Tullamore. Best wishes to both players as they seek their first win in this year`s championship.
On Saturday also, Thomas Cawley, Shane Molloy, Fionn Connolly and Kenneth Mitchell play in the semi final of the Celtic Challenge u 17 hurling with Sligo against Kildare Cadets in Donaghmore, Ashbourne  at 130 pm. This game will be streamed live on Pundit Arena GAA Now.They were part of the Sligo team which defeated Monaghan in the quarter final on Saturday. Thomas Cawley also picked up the Best and Fairest Award for Sligo in the game. Well done to Fionn Connolly who is also on the Sligo minor football panel on their win over Leitrim on Friday and best wishes to the team against Roscommon on Friday. Hard luck to Ciaran O'Connor and Sligo u 20 team on defeat by Tyrone in the Philly Mc Guinness Cup.
Easkey/St Farnan's u14 football team played the semi final of the A shield against Tubbercurry/ Cloonacool in Templeboy on Thursday and had a very comprehensive win on a score of 6-14 to 2-9. The final of the A shield will take place on Monday night. The team are currently in preparation for this year's Féile at the end of June. The u 12 teams were defeated by St. John's on Friday last.
The intermediate team played Easkey in the league on Sunday and won 1-10 to 0-8. Both teams lined out without county footballers and hurlers.
On Friday the junior team play St. Mary's at 8pm in Templeboy.
Well done to St. Joseph`s NS girls team who won the Cumann Na mBunscol final on Saturday.
Good luck to Jacqui Mulligan, captain of Sligo ladies , Leah Kelly and Claire Dunne in the Connaught final on Sunday.
