Our intermediate team survived a second half onslaught by Enniscrone/ Kilglass in the last round of the league to win by the narrowest margin 1-16 to 2-12. The team maintain their division 2 status and attention now turns to the intermediate championship.
Best wishes to our Junior team in the Division 4 league final against St. Mary`s on Saturday at 7 15 in Scarden. All support welcome.
Easkey/St Farnan's u 12 teams played Eastern Harps with the division 3 side gaining a draw and the division 1team being defeated.
A big thank you to Abbvie for sponsorship of underage footballs for all the clubs in Sligo. The club was represented at the presentation by Dermot Browne and family.
 On Friday Easkey/St Farnan's u 14 football team plays Drumcliffe/ Rosses Point in the first round of the A championship in Templeboy at 7pm. On Monday Easkey/St Farnan's u16 football team plays away to Coolera/Strandhill in the B championship. The weekend also sees the start of the senior hurling championship with a local derby between Easkey and Western Gaels in Quigabar at 7 30pm on Saturday.
St. Farnan's/ St. Pat's minor team got their championship off to a winning start when they defeated Shamrock Gaels by 3-11 to 0-10 on Wednesday last. This was a real team effort . At half time we led 2-7 to 0-4. The second half was a real battle as Shamrock Gaels tried to overcome the deficit. We were down to fourteen men ten minutes into the second half as Shane Molloy was issued with a second yellow card. The team held out and when a third goal was scored victory was sealed. The team was Jack Cadden, Niall Hallinan, Jamie O`Carroll, Shane Molloy, Adam Kilrehill, Canice Mulligan (0-1), Paul Clarke, Daire Williams (0-1), Conor Keaveney, Fionn Connolly, Thomas Cawley (0-4(3f), Cahán Hallinan, Eoin Gordon, Fergal Curran (1-2), Jim Davis (2-3). Subs used: Tristan Branley, Kenneth Mitchell. The team play the A league shield final against Curry in Bunninadden on Sunday at 11 30 am.
There will be a club meeting in the clubhouse on Friday at 8 30 pm. Please attend.
Hard luck to our u20 county hurlers who were defeated by Down in the quarter final of the B championship.
Congratulations to all the winners from Tireragh Comhaltas at the Connaught Fleadh Cheoil.
