Minor Hurling Championship

Our minor hurlers have qualified for the minor hurling shield final following their win over Benbulben Gaels in Oxfield on Friday. The host team led by 4-4 to 1-4 at half-time, our goal coming from Anthony Fidgeon. Our lads upped their performance considerably in the second half and ten unanswered points, chiefly from the stick of the impressive Liam O'Kelly-Lynch, ensured that we emerged as winners by the slenderest of margins on a 1-14 to 4-4 scoreline. Paramount to our win was the workrate shown by the entire team in the second half, with forwards Oisin Davey and James Hargadon and half-backs Michael Munnelly and Fionn Sheridan particularly standing out in this regard. Our full backs Donal Keaveny and Aidan Campbell were also in superb form, particularly in the closing stages of the game when subjected to a period of sustained Benbulben Gaels pressure.
Team and scorers: Stephen Mahon, Aidan Campbell, Donal Keaveny, Fionn Sheridan, Michael Munnelly (0-1), Fintan Campbell, Liam O'Kelly-Lynch (0-10, 8f), James Hargadon, Oisin Davey, Anthony Fidgeon (1-2), Fergal O'Kelly-Lynch (0-1), Cormac Niland.

Senior Hurling Championship

Our senior hurling team play Western Gaels on Saturday at 3.30pm in Kent Park in the last round of the SHC. A win or draw will ensure we finish top of the group and play the 4th placed team in the semifinals on Friday week.
The team are guaranteed 2nd place following last weekends refixed drawn fame between Calry and Western Gaels.

County U13 and U15 Hurling Squads
