DRP boys under 13 footballers are through to the Sligo under 13 Féile cup final after a spirited 4-4 to 1-5 win against St Mary’s at Oxfield on Sunday. It was a fine display by the players who are managed by Declan Carroll, Fergal O’Flaherty and Ed O’Mahony. The team will play Eastern Harps in the final. At the time of writing, the date and venue for the final had still to be finalised.

The contribution of one of the club’s longest-serving members -and current club patron - Kieran McDermott to the development of Markievicz Park over the past few decades was recognised recently when Kieran was presented with a special award by the current Markievicz Park committee during the recent Sligo intermediate championship final.

A big thank-you to all our young club members who attended our three-day mid-term camp in Oxfield last week. The theme of the camp ‘Wellness through Sport’ was well received – and particular thanks go to all the coaches and speakers who provided genuine insight for your young developing players over the three days.
