The St Johns GAA club AGM was held on Sunday Dec 1st in The Sligo Park Hotel. The Chairman, Seamus Casey welcomed the large attendance and began the meeting with a prayer to remember the deceased of our club. Detailed reports on club activities followed from (i)Secretary, Sarah Mc Namara , (ii) Treasurer, Seamus Reilly, (iii)Chairman of Bord na nOg, Fergal Kelly (iv) Coaching Officer, Gerry Quinn, (v) Team  Management Reports from Intermediate, Junior, Minor, and all underage boys and girls teams, Chairman of the Ladies club, Liam Kelly , Pitch Committee Chairman, Niall Gordon, and The Lotto Committee. These were followed by the Chairman's Address in which he detailed the many and varied activities of our club during 2019, with many highlights including our U14 girls winning their All Ireland Feile competition, Our U14 boys winning their League, St Johns winning The Healthy Club Award, the successful hosting of Feile Na nOg and an International Tournament,the successful 24 hour Walk and Talk in Cuilbeg around the newly installed walk path. He said that none of these achievements could have taken place were it not for the very many volunteers who selflessly gave of their time and expertise to provide great facilities, give brilliant coaching and mentoring to young players and provide catering and a welcome for visiting teams and officials and he expressed his heartfelt thanks to all of these volunteers.
