Sligo Handball notes
Well done to the Sligo pairing of Cormac Finn, Ballymote and Eoin
Kerrigan, Drumcliffe BU16 dbls who were winners in the All Ireland
Juvenile semi-finals on Sunday in Boherbui , Cork.The Sligo duo were
playing well , with the score at 18 aces each when the Cork pairing of
Eoghan Daly and Hayden Supple had to retire due to injury.We wish
Hayden a speedy recovery. Eoin and Cormac will now represent Sligo and
Connacht in the All Ireland Finals to be played in Kingscourt , Cavan
in 2 weeks.
Hard luck to Karley Cooney , Castleconnor who won one game , but lost
overall to Clares Aine Lenihan in the GU15S.
The Sligo Juvenile B finals were played in Collooney last Friday
evening. The winners were Girls U11 Ellen Coleman Collooney ,Boys U11
Adam Jones Collooney ,U12 B Travis Gibbons Collooney ,U12 dbls Brian
Donegan and Senan Healy Castleconnor ,U13 TJ Foody Castleconnor ,U14
Michael Caroll Drumcliffe , U14dbls Ben Ogier and Diarmuid Dunleavy
Drumcliffe ,and U16 Seamus Foody Castleconnor. Well done to all
players , parents and supporters for making it a great evenings
Handball.The winners and other Sligo players go on to the Connacht
Juvenile B semi-finals next weekend.
Good luck to all Sligo's Adult Doubles pairings who begin their
Connacht Championship competitions next weekend.
Collooney Handball Club are hosting the Micheal Flynn Cup & Maureen
Mullen Plate 4 Wall Open Tournament on Saturday ,14-03-2020.
