In these challenging times Shamrock Gaels would like to support anyone who is vulnerable, isolated or families who may find themselves in quarantine in our community as a result of covid-19. We will provide a service to any member of the community for collecting and delivering medicines, groceries or other essential needs. All requests will be dealt with in a totally confidential and respectful manner. Please contact Lauri Quinn on 087 2684044 or Marina Swan on 086 8589048 to seek assistance. We already have a number of volunteers and if you want to volunteer please contact Lauri or Marina. Please pass on this message to those who do not have access to social media.

The club is deeply saddened by the passing of John Lyons at the weekend. John was a lifelong supporter of the Gaels and had a distinguished playing career, remembered as a formidable defender and one of the best players ever to don the maroon and white. John continued to support the club up to the end and his legacy will live on through his children Evan, Jade and Ava and wife Fiona who continues to make a significant contribution to the development of the club's ladies players. We wish to express our sincere sympathy to Fiona, Evan, Jade, Ava at this difficult time and to his father Sean, brother Geoffrey, sisters Concepta and Carmel and all his family and friends. He was one of life's true gentlemen and will be sadly missed. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
