It was great to see all teams back training last week and we would like to thank all the covid-19 supervisors who are giving up their time to ensure everything runs smoothly.  We would also remind all players and coaches that they need to re-confirm their health questionnaire before each session.

The action starts on Friday 17th July with the minor team taking on Owenmore Gaels away at 6.30PM. The Senior team take on Eastern Harps at home on Saturday 18th in the Kiernan Cup at 7.00PM while the Junior team take on Cloonacool away in the Abbott Cup on Sunday 19th July.

The Gaels will be hosting the Kellogs CĂșl Camp the week commencing 20th July. There are still some places available, however pre-booking is essential as unlike previous years, registrations can not be accepted on the day due to new covid-19 restrictions. Please book on-line at https://www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie

At the first monthly meeting since lock down, Chairman, Lauri Quinn thanked all those who had helped the club and the community come through this difficult period. He thanked all involved in creating videos which kept younger players engaged, those involved in the community response scheme, those who organised, participated and contributed to the 5K a day in May fundraiser in aid of North West Hospice and in memory of John Lyons, all who participated and contributed to Darkness into Light, John Quinn and Michael Brennan who kept the grounds in shape and all who have helped get the grounds ready for returning to play. He also expressed sympathy with the family and relatives of those from the community who had lost loved ones during this period.

The club wish to thank Donie Quinn who generously sponsored the new scoreboard by donating his club lotto winnings last year - it is greatly appreciated.

The backlog of club draws were held last week. The winners of the March draw were: Naomh Quinn, Aoife O'Connor and Niall Kearns. April winners were: James Conlon, Gerry Ballantyne and Jimmy Scanlon. May winners were: Michael Brennan, Leo Kearns, Ciaran O'Connor and the June winners were Francis Quinn, Gerry Ballantyne, Brian McDermott.

The club wish to express sympathy with the family and relatives of Marie Mooney, Drumfin and Mary Walsh, Ballintogher who died last week.
